The Crazy And Bizarre Things People Will Do For $5

It’s been about 2 weeks since my last post.  I’ve been spending a lot of time over at the warrior forum looking for new and creative money making ideas that I can pass on to you.

I have discovered several and you will eventually hear about them all, but today I have just one to share with you.  It’s one I learned about after purchasing a WSO (Warrior Special Offer).

This money making strategy involves a site called fiverr.com.  The best way I can describe fiverr.com is it’s just like Twitter only instead of posting short messages about what you are doing right now, you post short messages about a talent or service you are willing to provide for $5 dollars.

It’s called a “Gig” and other fiverr members can hire you to perform that gig for them.  Some of the most common gigs I see are for video testimonials, artistic services, prank calls, and marketing services.

$5 isn’t much, but if you play your cards right, it could be well worth your time.  The secret is to offer a service that takes no more than 15 minutes to complete.  A 15-minute service at $5 a pop is $20/hr, and I don’t know anybody who wouldn’t work for $20/hr.

I posted a gig to install a basic WordPress blog installation.  Now I normally install wordpress manually, but for my fiverr.com gigs, I planned to use the fantastico auto installer, which can install a wordpress blog in about 2 minutes.

I managed to get a buyer for this gig, but I couldn’t in good faith give the guy a basic WordPress blog without running the standard SEO tune-up on it, so as a bonus, I installed a sitemap, Platinum SEO, and privacy policy plugins.  I also added a ping list and adjusted the permalinks for SEO quality.

This took additional time, but it paid off because the customer was so impressed by my promptness and professionalism that he immediately hired me to install more plugins for him.  He has also indicated that he wants to hire me for more jobs.  That’s why it pays to go the extra mile.

If you have no skill to hustle on fiverr.com, you can use the arbitrage tactic, which involves, finding an underpriced service on fiverr.com and offering that same service on a different site at a higher price.  When someone orders the service, you simply turn the job over to a service provider on fiverr.com and pocket the difference.

Here is a  real example of how I used the arbitrage technique just yesterday:

I was browsing around the fiverr.com site and I came across a gig in which the seller was offering a PR8 backlink for $5.  Now before you can understand the value in this offer, you have to know a little bit about how Google ranks websites.

PR stands for page rank.  Google ranks websites on a scale of 1-10 with PR10 being the most highly regarded.   Sites with a high PR get ranked higher in the search engines.  Sites that are linked to from high PR sites also get ranked higher, which is why it is so valuable to gain a backlink from a site with a high Page Rank.

Back to my story.  I went over to the Digital Point forum (an forum where Internet Marketers hang out), and offered PR8 links for $10.  Within an hour, I had a buyer.  I simply navigated back over to fiverr.com, placed my order, provided the link information, and my job was finished.   I made a 100% profit and someone else did the work.

If you can think of a quick service that people would be willing to buy, you can keep five dollar payments coming into your Paypal account all day.  And you’d be surprised at what some people are offering.

I saw a gig in which a lady was offering a flirting service that involved flirting with her customers’ husbands to see if they would be faithful.  I also saw a couple gigs with women offering to be someones Facebook girlfriend for a specific amount of time. I even saw gigs where a guy would prank call someone in the voice of Kanye West or Lil Wayne. I thought that was a pretty good one.

Head over to fiverr.com and check out the site.  If nothing else, you will be entertained by the crazy and bizarre gigs.
